A superior all-natural bait conservator. A balanced mixture of potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and citric acid formulated for optimal effectiveness. Use at between 1 part in 30 and 1 part in 125. One ounce per gallon should be about right. Dissolve in boiling water before adding to your bait.

Citric Acid

An acidulent, makes your bait more acidic. A natural product, widely distributed in nature and completely safe. No limits on its use but should be effective at about 1 tsp per pound of bait. Use with sodium benzoate or potassium sorbate for best effect.

Sodium Benzoate

A natural polyunsaturated fat that inhibits microbial growth. Effective against yeast, bacteria and fungi. Citric acid will improve its effectiveness. Use at about 0.1%, between 0.25-0.50 tsp per pound of bait.

Potassium Sorbate

Extremely effective in prohibiting

microbes, particularly mold, from growing in stored baits. All natural and completely safe. Should work well at about 1/8oz (0.5 tablespoon) per pound of bait. Maximum level, 2 tablespoons per pound. Citric acid will improve its effectiveness.
