One teaspoon of Sweet 34 is equivalent in sweetness to a quarter pound of sucrose (ordinary sugar). For boilies, use about 0.5-1.0ml Sweet 34 per pound of base mix.

Salt (sodium chloride) is an essential nutrient for carp and is one that has rather limited availablity. Ordinarily, carp expend considerable energy taking up sodium through their gills. Increasing salt availablity reduces the engery expenditure, increases feeding and increases growth considerably.
These slow-disolving salt blocks will boast the sodium content of the water in your swim, atracting the fish and increasing your catch rate. I did toss one off a bridge into some fairly shallow water where I can see the carp swim by. The salt block did attract them.
