TIGERNUT: An outstanding mix from the groundbait program ‘Magic Carp System’ of TOP MIX. This groundbait containing 17% of tigernuts works successfully when fishing for big carps. It does not contain any artificial additives, only its natural tigernut smell and taste give its proved tempting effect. The carruba is used as an additive in our carp groundbaits for a long while, but it was completely out of reach as syrup or in pellet form. Now we can get these additives to make a premium quality carp ground bait. The fruit of the carruba tree native in Spain and on the south slopes of Mediterranean. It is quite sweet and somewhat similar to the cacao. Its legume is similar to the bean, and we use the legume in cut-up form and the squeezed syrup as additives to this special carp ground bait. This syrup has no strong smell, its taste is the essential factor. The resulting ground bait we have mixed with the ingredients is very sweet and smells of carruba, and contains carruba pellets of 6 mm (a slowly dissolving pellet made of carruba fruit).

Sweet, red ground bait which smells of tiger-nut for catching carp and any big fish. The high tourteau de mais (corn germ) content requires adding the water to the ground bait in several steps. This carp mix is a totally new groundbait. All the ingredients are imported from Italy. The main additives are maize and some rice and potato derivatives. Using this composition we have reached a high protein and glucose content. A coursely grained groundbait with a lot of large particles – as big carp love it. Thanks to the intense aroma it is highly attractive even in small amount, which makes it an excellent groundbait for feeder fishing. The yellow coloured Carp Panettone contains the attractive aroma of Italian panettone cake. This mix can be used in warmer waters above 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius).

Millet Bait
3 cups hulled millet
1 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup soy meal
1 1/3 cup flour
4 oz of karo syrup
4 oz of liquid flavoring (maple syrup, any of the Superior Flavors, etc)

NOTE: If you use a “non syrup” (extract, Kool-Aide) flavoring, you will have to add more Karo so that sufficient thick syrup is in the recipe for binding purposes.

Mix dry ingredients together
Mix liquid ingredients together and heat gently (do not boil)
Mix liquid into dry ingredients. Let set for a couple of hours.

This should pack into a rock-hard ball that will cast a mile without falling off and that will break down in the water within a few minutes.

Wacker Bait & Tackle has developed a pair of groundbait mixes suitable for both match anglers and specimen hunters. They are based on a highly nutritious and attractive fish food but do not contain any fish meal.

The River/Deep Water formula (GBT-R) is fairly dense so that it sinks quickly and breaks down slowly. It is a finely ground powder so it breaks down releasing attraction but little for the fish to eat. This mix also is a good base for a method bait; add corn or other particles, chopped boilies, pellets or whatever and pack it around a feeder for specimen angling.

The Stillwater formula (GBT-S) does not pack as tightly and contains some less dense ingredients. It will start to release attractants almost as soon as it hits the water, filling the water column with finely divided goodies.

The Super Natural ground bait consists of a high concentration of natural and natural identically flavours that spread a superb attraction under water. The special consistency allows to vary the amount of water added to the ground bait in order to achieve different hardness according to the individual purpose of use. Super Natural ground bait can either be used in pure form or can be mixed in relation of 1:1 to 1:2 with the usual components.

Now also available in a fine grind - a perfect ground bait for match anglers.

This bait was developed by Bob Bernowski and has been extensively field tested. The bulk ingredients include high protein/amino acid components as well a sweeteners. It also contains betaine and other proven attractants. To prepare the bait, mix the entire contents of the bag with one can (14.75 oz) of cream-style corn. You may also add flavoring, about 1/4 cup of Superior Flavoring or other of your choice. Add a handful or prepared hempseed or other particles if you wish. Mold the moistened bait around your sinker or around your hookbait. It casts well and breaks down after about 3 minutes in the water. You may also shoot out golf ball sized lumps with a catapult. 4lb plastic bag.
