Flat pears are the closest to a universal lead. It is a classic shape well suited to most fishing situations with the exception of extreme long range. They cast well with little tendency to tangle and the flat sides keep them from rolling down slopes or with the current.

The best choice for long distance fishing. The aerdynamic shape flies well and the flattened sides reduce roll. This is also an effective shape for bolt rigs.

Richard Gardner, the brains behind Gardner Tackle, has put his brains to the problem of line twist and come up with this solution - the Spin Doctor. When your line has twisted, simply tie the end of the main line direct to the lead, cast it out and reel it in. The grooves in the lead will make the lead spin in the opposite direction to the twist in your line, thereby untwisting it. It's a simple idea that works a treat and helps prevent birds nests and other horrible problems you get when your line is twisted. This can only mean it will extend the life of your line - a huge benefit.

We are very excited about our new innovative product that will make angling easier and more accessible to those who have never tried using micro shot before. Putting micro shot on to the line has always been fiddly, difficult and a precarious operation, particularly for those with big hands or poor eye sight. Also anglers run the risk of poisoning themselves by placing lead shot in their mouths prior to fixing and biting the shot on to the line.

To overcome all of these problems we have developed a low cost applicator, which will assist in putting shot on to the line safely and quickly.

The applicator works by simply giving it a shake to allow a shot to fall down a hole onto a rotational knife edge. As the base is rotated, it clicks as it goes round jumping the shot inside up and down. As the shot bounces it turns and orientates its self open side down and is presented to the pick-up peg. By pressing the peg down the shot is picked up. Simply remove the peg and squeeze the shot on to the line.

The whole operation takes but a few seconds, safe for the angler, the environment and you don’t need hands of a surgeon or eyes of a hawk.

The shot we use is accurately graded 100% soft lead and cut centrally to give good presentation. It is also coated in order to prevent oxidation, lead poisoning and reduce visibility

ANCHOR standard Double-Cut shot was developed because the current 'lead replacement' shot was found to damage the line and was hard to open and close. Due to the unique forging process of the opposite cuts a maleable hinge has been created allowing the shot to open and close with ease therefore not damaging the line. Due to the depth of the cuts, the shot sits centrally on the line giving excellent presentation and tangle free.

Horizon Distance Leads have been CAD engineered for optimum aerodynamics and maximum casting range. This is a completely new shape for the extensive Fox Lead range, developed by our team of top carp consultants for distance casting. It is a weight forward design to help anglers add extra yards to their casting distances. The leads feature a new camouflaged durable, non-reflective matt finish, designed to be hidden on the lake's bed. These leads are swivel only.
